As darkness fades
sunbeams breathe
Renewed by fate
destiny divides
Wrapped in white
cloaked in black
Revel in life
or die inside
Walk with joy
or crawl in pain
A line between
leaves one choice

Very nice. Love the contrasts.
Thank you.
I figured it was about time that I put my morning philosophy into a little poem.
This is one to live by each morning and I do. Life is so much easier if we choose to “Walk with joy” even if we don’t wake with joy.
Very true.
Each day I ask myself what kind of day I want to have. I always answer, “a good one” even if I don’t feel good. Life is too short to answer any other way.
sjomething I need to keep reminding myself. Lovely poem.
Thank you.
It all began because I saw sunbeams poking through the clouds one morning. Inspiration is everywhere!
Lovely =)
Thanks!
This is beautiful – I really liked this, C.B.
Thank you.
“…Walk with joy.. or crawl in pain” loved these lines! Good one
Thanks!
Those two lines were the last to show up, while I was writing. It’s funny how I write poetry – its never in order. As lines pop into my head, I write them on different parts of the page. It’s like the whole thing is already in my head waiting for me to transcribe it.
Beautiful statement of the choice we have each day.
Thank you!
I’m a big believer that the worth of each day is entirely on our shoulders. Even a bad day has a few good moments – all we have to do is decide to see them.

I like this. I’m a firm believer of choice.
Thanks.
Whenever someone asks me why I’m so happy all the time, I tell them “it’s a choice.”
Choices are our own, choose well. Beautiful poem.
Thanks!
My muse really wanted me to write this one . . . she kept bugging me with it until I finally wrote it down. I’m glad she’s so persistent because its one of my favorites from this year.
I love this…
Thank you!
