Delicate white buds
will give way to magic stalks
Plant dreams and believe

First bit of magic
curls up to the sky and smiles
Not for trade, these beans

Sunflower stalks climb
A forest to a bunny
Taller still, they grow!

How is your garden growing?

Hi! Thanks for sharing! Nice! I’ve the same bean… They can grow quite long… Will post later. cheers!
Lovely haiku and a great way to honor your garden.
Gotta love those magic beans!
My garden is my favorite place to be after a hard day at work. It’s so relaxing and I love all the green.
Wow! You rock!
I gthink your bunny moved since your last post, no?
He’s a curious little critter that never stops moving.
Happy to see photos of your garden! Also, I love haikus
Thanks for reading!
Do you have any garden pests that might threaten your plants?
Of, course! But the geckos take care of a lot of those pests.
Isn’t this just the loveliest time of year … it’s all lush and green here now, before the real heat sets in. It’s a nice little garden you have there … and they haikus were nice too, well crafted
I’m surprised we’ve had so much success. We started a little late, so heat is a major concern. I’m hoping we get a few more days under 100 degrees so my babies can grow a little stronger.
Lately, haikus and I have been getting along.
I’ll ride that wave of inspiration for as long as I can.
You must be using Miracle Grow! My mom used it on her tomato plants and they grew like trees – up to the eaves of the house – and the tomatoes were the size of large grapefruit. You definitely have a green thumb – both with your garden and you Haikus!
Surprisingly enough, we aren’t using anything but dirt and water.
It makes me wonder what the heck is in the dirt (or the water)!
Wow – that’s a big tomato! We’ve never had any luck with tomatoes – every attempt has failed so we’ve decided to stop killing innocent plants!
Your garden loves the sunshine and TLC you give it as you write!
There’s nothing like a little love to get a garden to grow.
Wonderful, absolutely loved the one about the bean plant.
In the first one, last line, perchance “plants dream and believe”
My garden keeps reminding me every day what beauty can come from planting a seed. As I see it, dreams work the same way.
What fun! I had sunflowers that grew over 6 feet. It was great to watch them turn their “heads” as the sun moved across the sky. I even collected and kept some of the seeds, but never got a chance to replant.
A few years back we saved the seeds and grew second generation sunflowers. Now that was fun! We’re going to try and save some zucchini and bean seeds this year, so we can plant them next year.
