That’s so true. About everything–good and bad. It’s the little things that bug us and that inspire us. Love your art.
Thanks!
I tried to hold onto the good things so I don’t lose my mind over the bad.
Drinking a cup of steaming hot tea in the morning!
I feel that way about my latte. I look forward to that cup of coffee each morning.
Your beautiful artwork.
And, after that, counting up twenty-three tomatoes.
Awww, thanks.
Oooo, that’s quite a tomato harvest!
Ooo! I have a thing for ladybugs. I have ribbon with ladybugs, brads shaped like ladybugs, stickers and paper with ladybugs on them and even a stamp! Needless to say, I LOVE your journal page
Our Christmas tree last year was full of ladybugs – hundreds of them! We set all of them free and I hope they bring us some luck!
When our daughter was about 2 or 3, we went to the beach and it was literally covered with thousands of ladybugs. She would not let us put her down on the sand because she was afraid to see so many of them. I must say, it was a little freaky. It’s something that’s never happened before or since. I still love them, though.
A beautiful flower opening at my desk…a cup of black tea with milk in it (yum)…my dog’s face…your spirit journal…thanks!
What lovely little moments!
(Glad you liked the page!)
Reading this made me smile today! I’d love to have notebooks with this kind of covers, colourful and inspiring. At the moment my notebook has a simple black front cover with these words
“Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the number of moments that take your breath away.”
I’m counting my breathless moments
Love the quote! I have that one in my quote journal.
Hmm . . . maybe that notebook of yours needs a little color. A little glue and printed paper goes a long way!
Haha! I’ll have to give it a go then!
Pulling dried flowers off the lavender plants in my herb garden.
I’m waiting for my lavender plant to bloom. I hope I’ll be as lucky as you when it comes time to harvest.
My first mouthful of cereal (it’s the extra honey I put on it that makes all the difference).
I felt that way about my mini-wheats this morning!
Though I was missing the honey . . .
My little moment: I sat and watched an osprey swoop across a marsh on this gorgeous late spring day.
(thanks for giving everyone a chance to be inspired by your art and share their moments!)
What a beautiful little moment.
(I am so excited by the response to Project Spirit Journal – I hope we can keep it going all summer long!)
Tonight, lightening bugs like little stars blinking in the hosta bed…….
That puts a lovely image in my head.
I love lightening bugs.
This post made me smile. And Blurt’s post. Do you follow him? Hysterical.
I’ll have to check out Blurt’s post!
Only in hindsight can I recollect little moments in the past few months. Moments the at the time weren’t “big”, but I’m thinking I should have paid better attention … my wish is that I begin to notice all the little things-not to be bothered by them, but to notice them and let them go, or file them away.
When we strip away all the distractions, the little things are everywhere and they bring so much joy. Keep watch, my friend.
And I guess it is all the distractions that keep us busy and lost and disconnected. We should have a class in high school to teach the kids how to “be”, how to notice, etc.
Absolutely! Oooo, I’d love to teach it.
