Narrow slits
dark divide
Evil eyes
peer the pass
Sinister stones
snare the wary
Noble hearts
enter face first
Golden fences
clear the way
Gleaming doors
ajar to wisdom

I love your photography. You have a way of capturing the subject’s essence. This whole piece…beautifully done.
Thanks!
I love London so much, I’m always looking for ways to capture the feeling of what its like to be there so I can take it home with me.
I liked your short, active sentence constructions in the poem, and how it went from creepy to uplifting. Very atmospheric photo.
Thanks! While writing this piece, it felt really different from other poetry I’ve written. It was an interesting experience and I’m curious to see where the trend takes me next.
Love the photo. That almost looks like a Hobbit house down on the end. How lucky you are to have walked these streets.
The architecture is so interesting in the East End. Its like walking through several centuries along one narrow street.
Wow.
The poem was powerful on its own but coupled with the picture, it took my imagination in all sorts of directions. It’s beautiful.
Thank you!
Images are what inspire me the most when it comes to poetry. I’ve got so many picture lying around, it seems the inspiration is endless!
I look forward to more poetry and more pictures!
Your words and the photo brought to mind the time the buildings were constructed – narrow streets to limit the size of invading forces making it easier to defend against them, curved to prevent the enemy from seeing the size of the defending armies as they approach. Lovely!
Thank you! Every since my first trip to London (and Europe in general) those narrow streets have always fascinated me. Both for historical and aesthetic reasons!
Very Harry Potter!
I mean that in a good way btw….!
Oh, cool! I never noticed that!
Totally love the picture!!
Thanks!
I always takes pictures of alleys, causeways, and doors when I travel!
Great photography and it portrays a time period I like
Is this going on the list of “submissions” too?
Yes, it’ll be on the last poll.
Lovely piece!
Thank you.
Great photo … I love those narrow streets and alleys. In Stockholm there are oodles of them in the Old City.
This picture came out very well in b/w [or is there a little bit of sepia?], and your words went very well with it.
Thanks!
I can’t resist those narrow streets. They always make me wonder who has traveled them .
It is a black and white shot, but I did adjust the tint a little to enhance the shading.
What’s around the bend? I wonder!
It could be anything . . . and its fun to imagine the possibilities.
I also thought the poem and the photo were very Harry Potter-esque. I expect to find a wizard or a wand shop around the bend.
Hmmm . . . I hope a flying broom is hiding somewhere in there.
The picture and the poem go together very well. I love it~
Thank you so much!
