Speak of silence
hear the song
Cavern of solace
whispers to one
Voices abate
words will sleep
Listen deeper
the spirit wakes

Beautiful, both the poem and the photograph
Thank you!
Lovely.
Thanks!
What a cool picture! A sunny day and blooming flowers.
Thanks! Those sunny days were rare in London!
What a great picture and poem, I really enjoyed waking up to this today
Thank you!
I appreciate you stopping by!
Silently loving your poem and sneaking away again…shhhh….
Love the poem! And that photo…. WOW
Thanks!
I’d never seen that garden in full bloom until this last trip. It was soooo beautiful!
listen deeper, the spirit wakes – ah yes! listen.
Perfecto!
Thank you!
Beautiful! All of it.
Thanks!
I can’t help but wonder how this garden has bloomed this year.
I really loved this little poem, and the picture is lovely!
Been MIA a little …it’s too hot for me.
Thanks!
(It’s been dreadfully hot here, too.)
This one gave me a karmic shiver. I like that!
Niiiice! I like that, too.
Love the poem. Very nice picture too. What does this cottage house? I’m starting to imagine what this might look like in Winter…
The cottage has a long history (or at least the concept of it) that dates back to the 1600s. Way back when an aviary was established by the royals on the grounds that are now St. James park. It now serves as the offices of the London Historic Parks and Gardens Trust.
That picture is exactly the way I picture an English garden behind a quaint little cottage and your poem certainly picks up on the serenity of the place.
English gardens are so beautiful! This one really is the epitome of how they feel, whether big or small.
I love the slant rhymes.
This is one of my favorites!
Glad you enjoyed it!
So totally English, this photograph. Cottage gardens like this one whither away in North Carolina heat and humidity. But I feel ten degrees cooler just looking at your photo. Your poem is equally beautiful…..truly listening is a gift of the spirit.
The heat this summer is no friend to any garden.
Glad you enjoyed this one and that it offered a bit cool air!
