There’s nothing more peaceful than sunset on the lake. Stillness coaxes leaves to hang without a rustle, while the water placidly asks the sky to reflect on the day. When the dragonflies begin to soar, listen to those inner thoughts that otherwise have no voice.

One Word: WOW!
I do know for a fact that walking (around a lake, a river, an ocean path, a woods, even a city!) leads to the truth. Thanks for the beautiful photo, and the reminder.
It’s amazing how a quiet walk can change your perspective. I walk to work almost every morning and I cherish that 15 minutes so much.
Exactly. I MAKE myself take a walk every morning by 6:30 or 7 for half an hour. What a difference it makes for the rest of my day. One of these days, I’ll just keep walking and NOt return for work that day. :+)
Couldn’t agree more. How beautifully written!
Thank you!
I love Wisconsin and that Wallce Steven’s quote is right on.
I’ve had that quote scribbled in my quote journal for at least 10 years. It always makes me think of my old stomping grounds in Wisconsin.
I think a trip to Loch of Lowes is called for…

Ooo, that sounds like fun.
In tomorrow’s Sunday Abroad post, I’ll be showcasing the Lake District.
Such literary words…
Thank you . . . my muse gave them to me so quickly I almost couldn’t type fast enough.
I love it when that happens!
Pretty sure I know where that is!
Is there a picnic area nearby?
Not that I know of. When you walk down Aunt Kathy’s road and cross the highway there’s another road. A little walk down that road takes you to a small boat landing on this lake.
Lovely!
Thank you!
Ahhh…truth found in “thoughts that otherwise have no voice.” Perfect!
I love lakes. And nice walks. And quiet. And time to think. So pretty much I love this post!
