Ever since I was a little girl, I believed butterflies were dream carriers. I don’t know where the idea came from or why I decided delicate wings could carry such a load, but whenever I saw one I wondered what dream it carried and to whom it belonged. Perhaps the bright colors rich in optimism inspired my imagination or maybe the wings themselves, so light and airy gave me hope that my own dreams could come true.

What a lovely thought! Perhaps as children we see the world as it really is and not as we are told it is. your post brightened another gray foggy drizzly day.
Maybe that’s why I’ve chosen not to completely grow up. I guard my inner child and make sure she gets a chance to play.
I say, keep that up!

I thought of butterflies and dragonflies as carriers of something magical and full of wonder. Dream carriers are nice.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dragonflies are also very special to me . . . one day I’ll have to divulge what I believe they carry.
