This has always been one of my favorite photographs. I can’t help but wonder who this woman is and what story surrounds her. I never saw her face, but her spirit was vibrant and quite palpable in the air.

I love your doorway pictures. They give a glimpse into another world, much like those fantasy stories where one opens a magical door and walks into an unknown place.
So true! I take pictures of doorways almost everywhere I go, but this one has always stood out to me. This woman never knew I was there, but I felt so connected to her.

Sometimes they work and sometimes they don’t. I have a folder full of the disasters! Lol! This one, however, turned out exactly as I hoped – like a window into this woman’s life.
