Bones

Standard

Wreckage rises,
ravaged and worn
Light’s testament,
overcomes dark
Broken arches,
bind brittle walls
Hollowed out flutes,
can sing no more
Still, she battles,
to touch the sky

  1. I like how you ended this piece. Still, she battles, to touch the sky. Something resilient in the piece that is displayed in the contrast of light and darkness in the photo.
    In any case, Happy Holidays!

    • Thanks. I took this photograph both in the day and at night. The night shot always seemed to be longing for something, until this week it dawned on me that maybe that something was the sky. :-)

      Happy Holidays!
