Gray

Standard

Hushed silhouettes,
fade black to gray
Once so vivid,
memories fail
Tip of the tongue,
forgotten stills
A moment gone,
frozen in dust
This fate befalls,
all thoughts unkept

  1. I love the angle and quality of contrast in this image…enchanting…I really enjoy graveyards. Wow…I just typo-ed and fixed…I just spelled out greaveyard instead of the correct spelling…interesting take on the word huh?

Your words bring to mind the way things can be so easily forgotten…the memories that can slip away from black to gray…your opening lines are stunning.

    Poignant writing.

    • Graveyards are among my favorite places to visit and photograph. I don’t know why, but I am fascinated by them. I’m not morbid or anything, just curious and in awe of the people who came before me. Who were they? What’s their story?

Glad you enjoyed the poem. :-)
