Moments of Light

Storm clouds loom,
dark and gray
Faith points high,
reaching for blue
Joy rises up,
catching the light
Gather such orbs,
before they fall

Sometimes She Weeps

Grief disrobes
me bare and cold
Anger burns
my hold on faith

Pounding fists
bloody and bruised
Bitter tears
cry denial

Where Peace Resides

Ink stained hopes
struggle to speak
A dying dream
can find new life
Names call out
“Hear us now!”
Some wash away
others forget
A few hold true
to a lost belief
The door is open
waiting for you

The Guardians

Iron anchors
guard my sight
Thieving mists
loot the light

Strands of beacons
await the call
Flaring to life
when darkness calls

Secret Passage

Black tunnels
forget the light
Courage
is not free
Storms take flight
stealing faith
Strength
has a price
Fog descends
spiting North
Endurance
pays the fee
