Pillars

Borrowed from time,
fooling the eye
Staking their claim,
where money plays
Pericles gawks,
and rolls his eyes
Wisdom has left,
greed takes its place
The homeless sleep
on hidden streets
Expensive suits,
pretend to cry
The pillars watch,
unworthy spines

Castle

A walk on water,
impossible dream
Pearls in the distance,
ablaze in white light

Treacherous thickets,
wear thorns of warning
Guarding the towers,
from dragons and knights

Only those with wings,
answer the riddle
A city of stones,
haven built of clouds

Starlight

Medieval needles,
pierce the velvet dusk
Before midnight blue,
the light passes through
A much punctured sky
is hardly a shame
For these tiny holes,
bring stars into view

Found

A breath of wisdom,
the pendulum swings
Floating and flying,
echoes of brass bells
Each ping a beacon,
for those who listen
A piece once missing,
is finally found

Fallen

Forgotten slaves,
lost to cruel fate
Last breaths hover,
souls wearing scars
These unhealed wounds,
still bleed unseen
Voices, they cry,
pleading to rest
The shows goes on,
 a relic sighs
