For wounds so finite
deep and blood red
Forgiveness
becomes a seed
sown by time
Beneath the ache
beauty lies in wait
Petals unfurl
Delicate
soft and white

Thank you! It’s a piece I’ve been laboring over for a couple of months. Today, I finally found the right words to finish the first stanza and the fact that you highlighted them has me over the moon! 🙂

I love the line”Beneath the ache beauty lies in wait petals unfurl…” Great imagery. You’ve got to buy some Peonies and watch them bloom…..pure joy!! LR

The line you highlighted is where this poem began, so I naturally I’m delighted to hear it has resonated with someone. Thanks for reading!

It feels good to get some poems rolling. I started a number of new lines in London, (the last two posts are just the beginning), so now its all about letting the inspiration play out. Hopefully, there will be more good things to come.
Thanks for reading – I’m so glad you enjoy these little word experiments. 😉
