My Favorite Meant To Be Couples

Standard

I haven’t always been huge on the holiday filled with red, pink (my least favorite color), teddy bears and large monkeys, but I do love love.  There is something magical about someone accepting and adoring you for who you are no matter what.  My husband is that man for me and I don’t need a holiday to appreciate all he does for me because I thank my lucky stars each and every day that he remains by my side.

Okay, I’m done being all mushy.  Being the fangirl I am (see The Authograph Ninja), I can’t help but have a little fun.  While real life love is the best thing out there, I am a sucker for TV couples from some of my favorite shows.  Here are my favorites:

Jim and Pam from The Office

Best TV Kiss Ever!

Sheldon and Amy from The Big Bang Theory

Most Awkward TV Kiss

Mary Margaret and David (or their alter egos Snow and Prince Charming) from Once Upon A Time

TVs Best Fairy Tale Kiss

And just for fun, a few from the movies:

Edward and Bella

Best. Couple. Ever

Ron and Hermione

Long Overdue, but Worth It!

Ariel and Prince Eric

Kiss the Girl!

Peter Parker and Mary Jane

Best Superhero Kiss

Of course, there are a slew more that I love, but these popped into my head first. Happy Valentine’s Day to my family, friends, and readers! May your day be filled with love and joy.

What are your favorite couples?

  1. What a cool blog post to do on Valentine’s Day! Wasn’t there a great kiss in Top Gun between Tom and Kelly? Perhaps I’ll wish for one of these kind of kisses later today . . .

    • Ooo, that’s a good one, too! 🙂 The more I think about it, the more great couples start popping into my mind . . .

Princess Leia and Han Solo from Star Wars
      Jack and Rose from Titanic
Viola and Shakespeare from Shakespeare in Love

  2. I’m not up on tv either. I tend to watch the oldies and there’s an ad on RTV where Desi sings to Lucy and there is such love in his eyes. I know it didn’t end that way but I love to watch them in the early days. I can’t think of any others but I agree on Ron and Hermione too.

  3. The awkward and unexpected kiss between Ashley Greene and Christina Ricci in ‘Pan Am’. The awkwardness was highlighted by the way the kiss started just as the ambient sound of someone playing Bach’s Prelude No1 in C Major finished. The prelude is one of the most perfect pieces of music ever written, and the segue straight into deliberate mood-music heightened the awkwardness further.

  4. I love your list! One of my other favorites is Aragorn and Arwen. (Sheesh, I’m a Tolkien fangirl, and it shows too much…) Ever since I first read the books, there was something about their commitment that I loved and sort of reminded me of my relationship… and it doesn’t hurt that my husband bought me an Evenstar when I was sixteen.

  5. Oh, how I love Jim and Pam. If I couldn’t have him (and yes, it is quite possible to meet and fall madly in love with a tv character, right?), I’m so glad Pam got him. And Shamy? Definitely one of my top choices, too.

I’d add Pacey and Joey from Dawson’s Creek. And Jin and Sun from Lost.

Hi, from the Campaign! Thanks for stopping by my blog! I look forward to reading more of your posts, especially if they’re all as great as this one!

    • Jim is my TV boyfriend and it was love at first sight. 🙂

Oh, I forgot about Pacey and Joey!!! I loved them! The memories are flooding back – I was obsessed with that show!

I visited your blog earlier today and just loved it! I’m looking forward to the campaign! Thanks so much for stopping by to say hello!
