Black tunnels
forget the light
Courage
is not free
Storms take flight
stealing faith
Strength
has a price
Fog descends
spiting North
Endurance
pays the fee

I was surprised how empty that spot was considering the view! I don’t think a lot of tourists are aware that tunnel is there.
Thanks! 🙂

Thank you! That tunnel not only saved me from the rain, but it also gave me that great view. Who knew it would continue to inspire long after returning home! 🙂

I really loved this poem. Did this just ‘flow’ out of you, or did you have to think and edit a lot before it was completed?

It flowed out like it was always there. Like most of the poetry I write, the lines just fly out and then I do some minimal adjustments. All told, this one took around half an hour to write. To me, poetry is something that comes right out of my soul, so I don’t like to mess with it too much. 🙂
