Thanks! While writing this piece, it felt really different from other poetry I’ve written. It was an interesting experience and I’m curious to see where the trend takes me next.
Your words and the photo brought to mind the time the buildings were constructed – narrow streets to limit the size of invading forces making it easier to defend against them, curved to prevent the enemy from seeing the size of the defending armies as they approach. Lovely! 🙂
Thank you! Every since my first trip to London (and Europe in general) those narrow streets have always fascinated me. Both for historical and aesthetic reasons! 🙂
I love your photography. You have a way of capturing the subject’s essence. This whole piece…beautifully done.

I liked your short, active sentence constructions in the poem, and how it went from creepy to uplifting. Very atmospheric photo. 🙂

Love the photo. That almost looks like a Hobbit house down on the end. How lucky you are to have walked these streets.

The architecture is so interesting in the East End. Its like walking through several centuries along one narrow street. 🙂

Great photo … I love those narrow streets and alleys. In Stockholm there are oodles of them in the Old City.
This picture came out very well in b/w [or is there a little bit of sepia?], and your words went very well with it.

Thanks! 🙂 I can’t resist those narrow streets. They always make me wonder who has traveled them .
It is a black and white shot, but I did adjust the tint a little to enhance the shading.

I also thought the poem and the photo were very Harry Potter-esque. I expect to find a wizard or a wand shop around the bend.
