I remember the day I knew what it was to be free. It was the same day I decided it didn’t matter what anyone else thought of me. So what if I’m weird and a little crazy? I like who I am and the direction I’m moving.
The real adventure begins when you learn how to fearlessly be yourself.

Interesting post. There was one point in time, when I thought I’d found freedom, but I lost it again.

I hope you have found it again. 🙂

Good for you. I don’t think many of us ever really find it.

I wish more of us would. Life is a lot more fun when we learn to let go. 🙂

You’re right, it really doesn’t matter what anyone thinks of our nature. When people tell me I’m a little strange, I usually say, “Really? Compared to who?” I think everyone’s a little strange, some are just better at hiding it. It just makes me laugh.

Totally agree. I can tell you the complete difference I feel from last year to now (though I wouldn’t be able to articulate it completely). The freedom I have with my time gives me the chance to be more of who I am. At least that’s what I tell myself 🙂

the two thoughts you had definitely go hand in hand, in my view — I can’t worry about what others think and truly be free. Very thought-provoking post!

Life is too short to worry about someone else’s opinion, right? 😉 You gotta do what you love!

This is inspiring–a reminder that we don’t have to live life enslaved to what others think. I am happy that you have discovered your freedom, CB.

Yup, that’s a prison with no locks and there’s no way out unless you make the choice to leave. 🙂

Funny how, the older we get, the more we realize what is most important in our lives and learn that worrying about what others think of us is now far lower on our list of priorities, giving us the freedom to do things we’ve always wanted to do. I love your quote and that you’ve become free, too. 🙂
