Terra cotta view
Medieval hues
Faith reaches
bridges cross
Once crushed
ashes rise again
History’s wrath
the spires survive

This spectacular view was well worth the 287 steps I had to climb to get to the top of St. Vitus Cathedral’s spire. The stairs were as medieval as the church itself, spiraling around the tower with just enough space for one line of people to go up and one line to go down. On top of that, there were no railings! By the time I got to the top, I was out of breath and highly aware that I need to get more exercise, but the view made every step worthwhile. The skyline of red roofs and spires was nothing short of amazing.
