Great description of the bridge and I love the photo, too. It’s interesting that it appears to be a much older photo than one taken a mere eight years ago. If I hadn’t seen the date, I would have guessed it was taken in the ’60s, or earlier, because of the color and discoloration of the border.
Photo editing is a beautiful thing. π Of late, I’ve been experimenting with different filters and overlays to create unique effects. Sometimes its a disaster and sometimes I get shots like this!
Really great photo effects for this subject, C.B. I like how the end result of the “faded” photo echoes the antiquity of the bridge. Your words inspire stories in my mind.
LOVE IT AND THE PIC.

“Where secrets lie/and lies hover” great opening, I’ve had coffee and cake a few times recently on the bridge. A nice place for a stroll, Bath.

I wanted it to look like something archaic as the conflict in the poem is an ancient one. π
