The soul splits,
lost amid
Calm reprieve,
busy streets
Graceful curves,
hide the bones
Here we wait,
limbo’s friend
Holding fear,
steadfast pause
Eiffel Tower, Paris

I figured a “trip” to Paris would be nice this Sunday! 🙂

I am intrigued by your line breaks and capilisation in here, and no stops. I love Paris, and want to go back soon. Did you stay long?

I tend to ignore grammar rules and just let the words do what they will. 🙂
I only got to stay in Paris for a few days. Perhaps, one day I’ll go back and take in a bit more of the city.

Fantastic and unique perspective! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a photo of the Eiffel Tower taken from that angle. Your poem picks out the best of the photo: “busy streets, Graceful curves, hide the bones” – wonderful! 🙂

Thanks! 🙂
It was a quick shot. I leaned over and aimed the camera and snapped the shot before my group left without me. Initially, the shot didn’t work, but a little photo editing did the trick. 🙂

Great perspective shot of what can be a ho-hum over-used subject. And the words are perfect with it.

It’s a shot I’m so glad I could save thanks to a little photo editing. The original looks terrible, but I always liked the angle from which I attempted the shot. Ten years later, it finally got the chance to shine! 🙂

Interesting how it often takes time for a creation to gel into the right form! Either the need to develop internal or external (photo editing software, for example) prevents the immediate completion of the idea. This shot was worth the wait!
