Chance

Standard

Stone fingers reach,
bound by the ground
Rooted to life,
dreaming of white

Hope has wandered,
from up above
Wishing to touch,
starved fingertips

Tangled in trees,
carried by wind
The chance passes,
but no one grieves

Interesting that there appears to be layers in the photo; grass, trees, different trees, etc.
Then the layers of the poem and it all pulled together.

    • Thanks so much! 🙂 This is one of those “once in a lifetime” shots. It’s truly one of my treasures, not only for the memories of that day, but also for the beauty of such an amazing place.
