Treasure

Standard

Caught in ripples,
emerald waves
Fluid treasure,
glides in plain view

Peridot trees,
deep ruby leaves
Precious metal,
rooted in stone

Pale, pale onyx,
amethyst sky
Sought after gem,
an orb of gold

  1. Love that picture/poem combination. That sort of post always does more to get me to actually read the poem than just the words on the page by themselves. I think English textbooks from school trained me to be like that.
