30 Haikus in 30 Days: 8-10

The prompts are getting more challenging, but I’m still plugging along in the 2014 November Chapbook Challenge, (via Poetic Asides). So far, I’m ahead of my goal of 30 Haikus in 30 Days (in conjunction with the challenge).

I.

An end to summer
Days grow short as the sun hides
Time cannot be saved

II.

Bees fell from the sky
human folly is to blame
Wake up! Millions died

Prompt: (Blank) Trouble. Replace the blank with a word or phrase, make the new phrase the title of your poem, and write the poem.

Avoiding Trouble

The fisherman waits
worm on a hook, tempting bait
Wise old fish won’t bite
