30 Haikus in 30 Days: 25-28

Standard

The 2014 November PAD Chapbook Challenge (via Poetic Asides) is almost over! In many ways, I’m sad to see it pass so quickly, but I’m also looking forward to piecing together my chapbook entry for the end-of-challenge competition.

Here are my latest entries:

November 25, 2015
Prompt: Two for Tuesday – 1. Love 2. Anti-love

I. Love

Kisses from the sun
caress the pond; sparkling gold
affectionate gleam

II. Anti-Love

Black fog sweeps the sky
the moon and stars will not speak
a lover’s quarrel

November 26, 2014
Prompt: Same

Petals tucked inside
daylilies bloom, smile, and fade
all in the same day

November 27, 2014
Prompt: Appreciative

Trust in the sapling
to appreciate the rain
with arms wide open

November 28, 2014
Prompt: Take the phrase “(blank) News,” replace the blank with a word or phrase, make the new phrase the title of your poem, and then, write the poem.

News Flies

Lilacs share the news
with jasmine vines, on the route
the bumble bee flies
