The bitter edge
of a passing storm
Hides the horizon
with uncertain fog
Water churns in
life’s deep crevice
pounding rough stones
washing the sand
Cold from the storm
gray on the inside
Yet, breath remains
in blades of grass
and the steadfast pine

Thank you, Hannah. 🙂 I’m always in awe of nature mainly because I feel so connected in terms what we share in common: life.
