I. Ode to Lost Feathers
roadside grass
traps feathers lost
to blue jays and crows
II. Ode to Winter Trees
snow dusted
branches weave
icy lace
III. Waiting for the Birds
feeder hung
filled with seeds
the birds will come
IV. Listening for the Birds
hard to spot
the whip-poor-will chants
a pleading song
