I. It Was a Cold and Silent Night
moonlit snowdrifts
sparkle in silence
the stars answer
II. It Was a Long and Sleepless Night
counting cars
as they pass
alone at midnight
moonlight stripes
paint the wall
still awake at three
nothing to do
but count each breath
eyes won’t close
