It’s funny how we sometimes forget the places we’ve been, even when they are in our own backyards. Eleven years ago I went on a little day trip with my family to Sedona. It became a distant memory that practically disappeared until I found the pictures. A day of awe inspiring scenery, along wonderful memories of my mother and step-father came flooding back and reminded me of the love and beauty that fills my life. Never underestimate the joy that is right in front of you.

I love remembering those kinds of moments. It’s so beautiful out there. Seeing that makes me think of visiting when I was 15 and how much I want to visit again. It’s so different from Florida.

Sometimes I forget that I live in such a beautiful place. It’s strange how we get so complacent and until we wake and remember just how stunning it all is.
