Prelude

Awash in dew
fine mist rising
Polished slicks
flowing gutters
Spilled lies gather
toss them asunder
Truth endures
anxious to soar
Silence refused
the muse calls
There’s no escape
nor a need
But for a place
. . . to dream

Trust can breathe
in fate’s embrace
The way is clear
despite the fog
Broken wings
strive to fly
A steadfast soul
defies the storm
Such a  will
refuses to fall
Truth calls out
resplendent, bold
Dreams see past
what cannot be
