kindred

Kindred

Standard

Weeping willows
shed not a tear
Long tendrils sing
with elated grace
Content to follow
and bend to the wind
Branches obey
for kinship’s sake
between what stands
and that which moves
For without one
the other goes unseen
There can be no dance
without a gentle sway
