Favorite Thing Friday: Simon’s Cat on Catnip

A new Simon’s Cat video is always great, but the annual Christmas Simon’s Cat video is better than great! This year’s video is easily among my favorite as it’s got to be the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.

Seriously, we’re talking cuteness overload.

I have a cat that hugs her catnip mouse and makes those cute little half meows half purrs. ❤

Even if you’re not a cat person, there is something to be said for finding so much happiness in such a small package!

Favorite Thing Friday: Simon’s Cat is Smitten

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, Simon’s Cat is trying to woo a pretty little kitty … with a “dead” mouse.

While I’ve never had a cat that actually killed anything for me as a gift, I did have a cat that hunted a yarn ball. Every night we’d wind a tiny little ball of yarn and hide it somewhere in the house. After we all went to bed, the cat would go on a hunt to find it. A freakish cat howl would fill the house when she found her prey. Every morning, we’d wake up and find an unraveled yarn ball and a very proud cat.

Favorite Thing Friday: Pug Face

A cute, bug-eyed pug has been roaming around my house this week. My in-laws are on vacation and we got to babysit their adorable pug. He’s been snuggling with us on the couch and snorting up a storm when he grabs a toy and plays. I’m sucker for that smashed-in face and googly eyes that never seem to stop moving!

My dogs are both pretty old, so having a younger dog around has been really wonderful. It’s nice to see my Tough Little Dog and the Old Man do more than sleep all evening! We have to bring him back on Saturday, but I’m hoping they’ll let us keep him until Sunday. He’s too cute!
