Sometimes the most beautiful scenery isn’t right in front of you, but rather where you least expect it. While strolling through the Japanese Garden in Portland, I noticed a maple tree that seemed small and ordinary. Blush colored leaves drew me closer and feather like branches made me stay. It wasn’t until I kneeled down to tie my shoe that an incredible view caught my eye. This little maple tree so unassuming from the top was actually an incredible cathedral of beauty from underneath. Lesson learned, always take the time to look at things from every perspective.
