Waiting for now,
her hair blows
Once her home,
time is a ghost
The past sings
bittersweet notes
Bid farewell,
lady of lost hope

She certainly does look ethereal, doesn’t she? Lovely words. 🙂

Your photo does give the statue such a ghostly presence! Great pairing of photo and words, once again.

I was fascinated by this sculpture when I first saw it. Almost every evening I walked past her on the way back to the hotel. She seemed to have so much to say and I think I’ve only begun to translate her message. 🙂

Her hands up near her face in that way do seem to be a forlorn and hopeless farewell, don’t they?
Lovely poetic salute to her.

Thank you. I do wonder what the inspiration was for her creation, but I also enjoy the mystery.
