A recent trip to Watson Lake (near Prescott, Arizona) reminded me that morning is my favorite time of the day. Watching the sun come up is always a magical experience, but even more so when surrounded by the beauty of nature. There is so much promise and hope with the arrival of a new day.

Strangely enough, mornings! Our weather in the Pacific NW has been like summer much earlier than usual. And our home has the benefit of being able to see the sun come up over our trees casting the most beautiful shadows and light across our yard. I love that time of day! If I don’t see that part of the day during this kind of weather, I consider it wasted time!

It’s worth setting the alarm to see the sun rise. Even in the summer when I don’t have to get up for work, I get up at dawn. 🙂
