Green certainly is a good name. We watched a movie that had me thinking about you “Oxford Murders” it had a lot of street scenes and a bookstore named Blakewell’s. I think. Anyway, strange movie but I loved the scenery.
I was planning to write a full poem for this photo, but the one line was all that came out. I decided to let it stand alone and it seems to be working. 🙂
This is one of those shots where everything came together. Light, color, and subject all aligned for a split second. 🙂
What a wonderful photo and memory! It seems like one of MY memories, even though I’ve not been at that spot. I think you’ve touched the archetypal memory bank with your photo and words.
I have always loved fields of daisies (or any other kind of wildflower, for that matter).

When I saw those kids running through those daisies, a million childhood memories came flooding back. I just had to try and capture that. 🙂

I love Green Park. I went there several times for a nice place to read and write – it tends to be a bit quieter than its cousin, Hyde Park. 🙂

Ah, memories of growing up in a suburb with woods behind our house and a field of daisies beside it! Thanks for this! 🙂

I grew up in a place where daisies lined the roads. I loved picking them and bringing them home.

If I’m not mistaken, Blackwell’s is in Mayfair (a borough of London) and I’m pretty sure I walked by it on one of my wanderings. 🙂

How I wish to be there! Dancing through the blooms, or laying down, looking giddily up through the petals. It’s the escapist in me!
