Thanks to blue skies and plenty of sunshine, my garden has exploded with brightly colored flowers. Between the wildflower patch in the front yard and the sunflowers in the back, it’s like walking through a rainbow.
Within a week, many of my sunflowers grew two feet, (making them well over 6 feet in height). They are blooming above the fence and are producing seeds for the next generation.
In the front, a slew of baby coneflowers are attracting bees with their bright purple petals and orange centers.

More blooms from the garden will arrive next Wednesday. Stay tuned for Part 2!

I like this idea. Hope you don’t think I’m copying (because I’m really not) but I’m planning to do a similar series on my blog. I love seeing plants/flowers close up. They take on a completely different, artistic, appearance. Will look forward to seeing your Pt2. π

Thank you! They were fun to capture, even if a bit challenging! There were ants all over those sunflowers, so I had to wait for them to move! π

Wow. I love what you are doing with the photographs. Even the slightly singed flower is amazing and just part of nature too. Keep up the great work.

Thanks! It’s hard to take a bad picture of something as beautiful as a flower, though! π

Our season is so far behind yours. My coneflowers are still buds, and our peonies haven’t even formed buds. So, I love that you’re sharing your garden. π

The heat is really starting to effect them, so I don’t think I’ll have them much longer. After they’re gone, I can live vicariously through your garden. π

I’ve been away from garden for almost a week (I’m on vacation), so I’m really curious to see what has bloomed in my absence. π

The colors are absolutely brilliant! However, as the heat beats down, those colors are starting to fade. Circle of life!
