Ancient echoes
hear me now
Copper wish
keep my plea
A small fee
sinks below
Fluid hope
seals the promise

Beautiful. I spent a semester in Rome when I was in college. We were 3 blocks from the Pantheon and about a block and a half from the Forum…and a few blocks from Piazza Navona and a bit over a mile from the Vatican. What an amazing semester it was.

I’ll bet that was incredible! I only got to be there for four days, which just wasn’t enough. It’s such a beautiful city with so much history and warmth. 🙂

Roman sculptures are some of my favourite. Your poem captures the essence of the fountain. 🙂

As usual in these posts, both the words and the pictures are awesome. Rome must really be something to visit! It’s not totally out of reach …we’ll see what happens…

I threw a coin in the fountain to make sure I return one day. It really is a magical place. 🙂
